Al Awsaf opens cool and slightly green with elemi, violet and pink pepper, then turns dry and resinous as myrrh, tonka and cedar take over. The base is woody and earthy with oakmoss, agarwood and patchouli grounding everything in a smoky, masculine finish. It reads serious and mature, more boardroom than playground, with a quiet incense thread running through. Best in cooler weather and evenings when its depth has room to unfold.
